Hyderabad: Cyberabad authorities launched dog bite awareness activities across colonies and public spaces as part of the 99 Days Action Plan.
The campaign aims to improve public safety and strengthen health awareness across Cyberabad.
Veterinary and field teams conducted dog bite awareness programmes in different areas on Friday.
Officials said the campaign focused on preventing dog bite incidents and promoting responsible pet care.
In addition, the teams created awareness on timely medical response after dog attacks.
Officials also educated residents about immediate first-aid measures after dog bites.
Dog bite awareness campaign stresses vaccination
Authorities advised citizens to wash bite wounds immediately with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes after a dog bite.
They also asked residents to visit the nearest hospital or health centre without delay for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the campaign highlighted the importance of Anti-Rabies Vaccination and completion of the full vaccine course.
Authorities further urged pet owners to vaccinate pet dogs regularly and follow responsible pet care practices.
Officials also advised people not to provoke or disturb stray animals in residential areas and public spaces.
Veterinary teams said they would continue dog bite awareness activities across all circles of Cyberabad.
As a result, officials expect the campaign to strengthen community safety and improve public health awareness.
Authorities stated that creating safer and healthier communities remained a continuous effort across Cyberabad.
