Hyderabad: Central government funds due to Telangana should be secured through a focused action plan, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju directed officials during a review meeting at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday.
The Chief Secretary asked departments to prioritise resource mobilisation. Further, he instructed officials to submit utilisation certificates, proposals and mandatory reports to the Union government on time. This, in turn, would help accelerate the release of Central government funds.
Sanjay Jaju said the review followed the Chief Minister’s directions. During the meeting, he examined resource mobilisation through group coordination meetings. He also reviewed inter-departmental coordination, Centre-State coordination, centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes and measures to improve fund mobilisation.
Central government funds review covers CM Dashboard
The Chief Secretary directed departments to upload scheme-wise progress to the Chief Minister’s Dashboard. In addition, he asked officials to update the dashboard regularly with the latest status of welfare and development programmes. This would support continuous monitoring and internal reviews.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Jaju instructed departments to prepare for the forthcoming sessions of the State Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. Accordingly, he asked officials to keep all information ready in line with the Assembly agenda.
Special Chief Secretaries Mahesh Dutt Ekka and Naveen Mittal, Chief Secretaries Ahmed Nadeem, Shikha Goel and Stephen Ravindra, Secretaries Ilambarthi, Surendra Mohan, Gaurav Uppal, Sikta Patnaik, Lokesh Kumar, Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanth and Krishna Aditya, Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, Agriculture Director Gopi, IT Department Special Secretary Anudeep, Law Secretary Papi Reddy and other senior officials attended the meeting.
