Chief Secretary reviews departments to align with Telangana Vision 2047

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao conducted a series of high-level departmental reviews at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat over the past three days, aligning administrative priorities with the state’s “Telangana Rising Vision 2047.”

Focusing first on agriculture and allied sectors, he reiterated the government’s commitment to farmer welfare. He instructed officials to enhance IT-based fertiliser and urea distribution. In addition, he told them to promote oil palm and horticulture cultivation. He emphasized ensuring timely seed and input availability. He also pushed for digital crop surveys and stronger district-level oversight.

During discussions with Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries departments, Rao called for expanding veterinary services at the village level. He recommended conducting regular animal health camps and increasing milk chilling capacity. Furthermore, he advocated revitalising cooperative dairies. He directed the preparation of focused action plans to boost fish production in major reservoirs. He ordered officials to expedite delivery of schemes to fishermen.

In the environment and forestry review, Rao emphasised e-governance, afforestation, biodiversity protection, and eco-tourism. He urged optimal use of CAMPA and Green Fund allocations for long-term ecological balance.

The Civil Supplies Department was asked to streamline PDS operations and improve fine rice distribution. Moreover, they were told to strengthen ration shop infrastructure and expand e-POS usage. Additionally, Rao discussed employment and training strategies with the Labour and Employment departments. He emphasised skill-building and industry-aligned training.

Senior officials including Special Chief Secretaries Dana Kishore and BMD Ekka, Principal Secretary Ahmed Nadeem, PCCF Suvarna, and several other department heads participated in the reviews.
