BRS seeks local representation in Yadadri Temple Development Authority

Hyderabad: BRS leader and former MLC Karne Prabhakar on Wednesday alleged that the Yadadri Temple Development Authority lacked adequate representation from Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district. He criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over the composition of the authority and urged the government to include local representatives.

Speaking to reporters, Prabhakar said people who voluntarily surrendered land and supported the development of the temple deserved representation in the authority. He described their exclusion as unfortunate.

Yadadri Temple Development Authority should include locals

Prabhakar credited the previous BRS government led by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao with transforming the Yadadri temple into a major spiritual centre. He said the government had undertaken the project at a cost of around ₹1,800 crore.

The BRS leader also noted that Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy had questioned the government’s decision on the authority’s composition.

Prabhakar demanded that the government provide representation in the Temple Development Authority to local residents, prominent personalities and families that had surrendered land for the temple project.
