Harish Rao accuses Congress of failing farmers, challenges Revanth

Hyderabad: BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao on Wednesday accused the Harish Rao Congress government of failing to fulfil promises made to farmers. He also alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent statements reflected concern over losing power.

Addressing a party workers’ meeting in Karimnagar, Harish Rao claimed the Congress government had failed to implement commitments related to the farm loan waiver, Rythu Bandhu, power supply and compensation for farmers’ families.

Harish Rao demanded that the government immediately utilise the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project to provide irrigation water and protect standing crops.

He also urged BRS workers to remain alert during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He alleged there was a possibility of opposition votes being deleted and called on booth-level workers to ensure that every eligible voter completed the enrolment process.

Karimnagar MLA and former minister Gangula Kamalakar, former minister Koppula Eshwar, former MLAs Rasamayi Balakishan and Sunke Ravishankar, former Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma and other BRS leaders attended the meeting.
