BRS eyes comeback with KCR bus tour and KTR padayatra plans

Hyderabad: The BRS is preparing a large-scale outreach programme centred on a proposed KCR bus tour and a statewide padayatra by party working president K.T. Rama Rao as it looks to regain political ground ahead of the next Assembly elections.

The party has intensified organisational activities since losing power in the 2023 Assembly polls.

It has launched membership drives, cadre training programmes and efforts to strengthen its grassroots network across Telangana.

BRS leaders are also stepping up campaigns against the Congress government and its policies.

KCR bus tour likely to take Congress failures to the people

The party plans to highlight what it describes as the Congress government’s failure to implement key election promises.

It also intends to raise issues related to governance, public welfare and alleged irregularities.

Senior leaders believe direct engagement with voters will help the party rebuild its support base.

Meanwhile, BRS is focusing on farmers, students, unemployed youth, government employees and workers from various sectors.

The party is also considering a greater role for young leaders in future organisational appointments and ticket distribution.

As part of its mobilisation efforts, BRS recently organised a farmers’ meeting in Warangal.

The party is also preparing to hold meetings with student and youth leaders at Telangana Bhavan.

KTR and senior leader T. Harish Rao have continued to target the Revanth Reddy government through public meetings, Assembly debates and social media campaigns.

The party has simultaneously turned its attention to political developments in the newly created corporations within the Greater Hyderabad region.

Party sources indicated that KCR may undertake a statewide bus tour to interact directly with different sections of society and gather feedback on public issues.

At the same time, discussions are underway on a possible padayatra by KTR to connect with youth, farmers, unemployed persons and the urban middle class.

BRS leaders believe these programmes could help strengthen the party’s presence across the state before the next Assembly elections.
