Hyderabad: Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin distributed pending ex-gratia cheques to the families of Madinah bus accident victims who lost their lives in the tragic road accident in Saudi Arabia.
The cheque distribution programme took place at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
AIMIM Nampally MLA Majid Hussain, Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Khusro Pasha, Minority Welfare Secretary B. Shafiullah and family members of the deceased attended the event.
Mohammed Azharuddin handed over compensation cheques to the families of late Mohammed Jaffar and late Shaik Siraj.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister expressed deep grief over the tragedy.
He said no amount of financial assistance could compensate for the loss of a loved one.
Azharuddin recalled the Telangana government’s response after the accident. He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy acted swiftly and ensured support for the affected families.
The minister said a delegation travelled to Saudi Arabia following the tragedy.
The team included Mohammed Azharuddin, MLA Majid Hussain, senior officials and other representatives.
According to the minister, the delegation coordinated relief measures and assisted bereaved family members during the difficult period.

Azharuddin said the Telangana government facilitated travel arrangements for family members who needed to visit Saudi Arabia.
He added that officials coordinated with the Indian Consulate and Saudi authorities to complete all necessary formalities.
The government also ensured smooth burial arrangements for the deceased with dignity and respect.
Speaking to the media, the minister said the tragedy had deeply affected everyone involved in the relief efforts.
Furthermore, he reiterated that the government would continue to stand by the affected families and provide all possible support.
The Telangana government had announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹5 lakh each to the families of Madinah bus accident victims as a humanitarian measure.
