Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday made Harish Rao allegations, claiming that BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao had performed alleged occult rituals to prevent rainfall and crop prosperity in Telangana.
Addressing a press conference, Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that Harish Rao had visited temples associated with occult practices in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and Shivamogga, Karnataka. He challenged the former minister to disclose his whereabouts on May 31, June 1 and July 23.
Harish Rao allegations include temple visits
Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed the Congress possessed evidence of Harish Rao’s alleged visits to the temples. He also questioned why the BRS leader had not shared details of those visits on social media.
The TPCC chief further alleged that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi had organised Aghora and Tantric rituals since its inception. He claimed the party had earlier heard reports of alleged occult rituals at former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse but had not believed them.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said the latest allegations had raised fresh doubts within the Congress. However, he did not present the alleged evidence during the media interaction. Harish Rao and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi had not responded publicly to the allegations at the time of the press conference.
