Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao criticised BRS leaders and said they reacted out of frustration after losing power. He also accused them of repeating claims that Congress failed to implement its promises.
Speaking in Khammam, Thummala Nageswara Rao said corruption during the previous regime led to the loss of power. He alleged that leaders collected commissions for pumps and pipelines. He said the previous government spent Rs 8,000 crore without central approval. However, he added that irrigation did not reach even a single acre. He questioned how the party expected to return to power.

He criticised T. Harish Rao and said he spoke freely due to lack of importance in the party. He alleged that Harish Rao held a meeting on encroached land. He also accused him of corruption in the Kaleshwaram project.
Further, he said the Congress government was restoring the state after damage under the previous regime. He added that the Sitarama project had stalled earlier. Now, he said, the government was completing it with support from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
