Hyderabad: A Nagaram land dispute came to light after a 63-year-old man filed a complaint in Prajavani alleging that his third wife cheated him and took control of his property.
The complainant, identified as Renu Buchanna from Nagaram village in Dharmapuri mandal, stated that he had earlier divorced his first wife, Ketamma. Later, he married another woman about 12 years ago. However, he alleged that Ketamma re-entered his life recently and influenced him to separate from his second wife.
Subsequently, he claimed that she returned as his wife again and took control of land registered in his name. He also alleged that she began receiving benefits from government welfare schemes meant for him.
Nagaram land dispute involves debt and threat allegations
Further, Buchanna said he cleared a loan of Rs 8 lakh incurred by Ketamma. However, he alleged that after pushing him into debt, she left him and returned to her parental home. He claimed that she constructed a house there and started living with another person.
Meanwhile, he said she threatened to kill him when he questioned her actions. He urged the district collector to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and ensure justice.
