Hyderabad: A Medchal road accident claimed the lives of three members of a family after a car collided head-on with a lorry near Turkapally-Muraharipally on Thursday.
According to police, the victims were travelling from Karimnagar to Hyderabad when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car first hit a road divider before crossing onto the opposite carriageway.
The vehicle then crashed into an oncoming lorry. The impact of the collision killed all three occupants of the car on the spot.

Meanwhile, Medchal police rushed to the scene after receiving information about the accident. Rescue personnel removed the bodies from the severely damaged vehicle and shifted them to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have initiated an investigation into the accident. Officials said they were working to establish the identities of the victims.
Further, the accident disrupted traffic movement on the highway for several hours. Authorities took steps to clear the damaged vehicles and restore normal traffic flow.
The police continued their efforts to identify the deceased and gather additional details about the circumstances that led to the crash.
