Hyderabad: A Food safety inspection conducted by Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) teams at the La Pino’z Pizza outlet in Jubilee Enclave revealed multiple hygiene and food handling violations. Officials carried out the inspection on June 17 as part of ongoing monitoring drives across Cyberabad.
During the inspection, the team detected heavy cockroach infestation inside the premises. Officials also found expired spice mixes, flavoured syrups and bread products. Several food items lacked proper labels, while inspectors noted improper storage practices in different sections of the establishment.
The team further observed microbial infestation in a freezer that was under maintenance. Inspectors also found chicken stored without adequate wrapping and noticed lizard droppings near a food storage area.

Meanwhile, officials reported that the restaurant stored vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items in the same freezer. The establishment also failed to produce medical fitness records of employees and water testing reports during the inspection.
Following the findings, the inspection team discarded expired and improperly stored food items on the spot. Officials directed the management to undertake deep cleaning measures and carry out pest control operations immediately.
The civic body also initiated an Improvement Notice and instructed the restaurant to rectify all shortcomings without delay. According to the assessment carried out during the visit, the outlet secured a hygiene score of 67 out of 100.
CMC guidelines classify establishments scoring above 90 per cent as satisfactory. Scores between 50 and 90 per cent attract an Improvement Notice, while establishments scoring below 50 per cent face a Show Cause Notice.
The corporation said it will continue regular enforcement drives and inspections to strengthen food safety compliance and improve public health standards across Cyberabad.
