TGSPDCL to set up single-window support for industries

Hyderabad: TGSPDCL will introduce a Customer Relationship Manager system to provide industries with single-window support. CMD Jitesh V. Patil, IAS, announced the move at an FTCCI stakeholders’ meeting.

The system will give industrial consumers a single point of contact for power supply and service-related issues. TGSPDCL expects to issue guidelines for appointing Assistant Divisional Engineers as CRMs within a month.

The utility will also provide a dedicated email facility for industries. Consumers will be able to register and track their complaints through the proposed system.

Jitesh V. Patil directed officials to address frequent power interruptions reported in Mallapur, Keesara, Balanagar, Shadnagar and Toopran. TGSPDCL will also share grid maps with FTCCI.

The maps will help industries identify nearby substations while applying for new power connections. The move is intended to make the connection process more convenient for industrial consumers.

TGSPDCL industry support covers regulatory and power issues

The meeting covered several issues involving Open Access, solar power, PM-KUSUM, wheeling and banking charges. Officials also discussed Time of Day (TOD) charges and EV charging infrastructure.

TGSPDCL agreed to examine several industry representations. These included concerns about the annual application of the 19% CUF requirement under PM-KUSUM PPAs and ABT meter settings.

The proposed One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme for long-pending dues also came up for discussion. The proposal is currently under consideration with the Chief Secretary.

The Energy Committee of FTCCI organised the 5th stakeholders’ meeting. Industry representatives and TGSPDCL officials discussed operational and regulatory issues affecting industrial and commercial consumers.

FTCCI Vice President Vinod Kumar Agarwal and Energy Committee Chair Sushil Kumar Sancheti attended the meeting. Co-Chairs, advisors, committee members, TGSPDCL officials and industry representatives also participated.
