Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand on Friday inaugurated cyber training facilities at the CID Headquarters in Lakdikapul to strengthen cybercrime investigation and technology-driven policing.
The new infrastructure includes a Smart Training Computer Lab, a SHE Cyber Lab and a Mini Conference Hall.
CID Director General Charu Sinha, along with senior officers from the CID and Women Safety Wing, attended the inauguration programme.
Cyber training facilities boost policing capabilities
The Smart Training Computer Lab features AI-enabled interactive smart boards, computer workstations and video conferencing systems.
It also includes high-speed internet connectivity and hybrid learning infrastructure.
Officials said the facility would support advanced training programmes and improve the technical skills of police personnel.
Meanwhile, the SHE Cyber Lab will strengthen the capabilities of officers handling cyber offences.
The facility will focus particularly on cases involving women and children.
Cyber training facilities support smart policing
Speaking on the occasion, C.V. Anand highlighted the need for continuous skill development to tackle cybercrime and technology-enabled offences.
He said police personnel must regularly upgrade their skills to keep pace with evolving digital threats.
Charu Sinha said the new facilities would provide a modern platform for training, knowledge sharing and professional development.
She added that the initiative would further strengthen Telangana’s smart policing efforts and enhance investigative capabilities.
