Hyderabad: Telangana is set to unveil the world’s first Global AI Proving Ground on January 20 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub (TAIH) will mark a major step in accelerating global AI deployment and collaboration.
A new model for enterprise-grade AI innovation
Established as an autonomous institution, TAIH aims to position Telangana as a global center for enterprise-grade AI solutions. It offers a live environment for rapid experimentation and scaling across emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, and chip design.
“Telangana has successfully evolved from India’s technology hub to the world’s innovation capital,” said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “At Davos, we are offering collaboration—not just seeking investment.”
Unlike traditional incubators, TAIH integrates talent, infrastructure, datasets, startups, research, and capital into a unified execution platform. As a result, it enables population-scale deployments instead of limited pilot projects.
“This is not just another tech centre,” said D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Industries. “It’s an innovation sandbox built for speed and global impact.”
Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary of ITE&C, described TAIH as a convergence point for startup agility, enterprise strength, and public-sector credibility. “We’ve designed it to attract capital and scale real-world solutions beyond proof-of-concept,” he noted.
The hub follows a four-pillar strategy—Talent Foundry, Innovation Engine, Capital Flywheel, and Impact Labs—creating a full-stack innovation and deployment ecosystem.
CEO Phani Nagarjuna called the timing critical. “We are entering an era shaped by AI models, quantum tech, and autonomous systems. TAIH will drive economic transformation and put Telangana among the world’s top 20 innovation hubs.”
The launch will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Mountain Plaza Hotel, Davos, with top global policymakers, tech ethicists, and industry leaders in attendance.
