Hyderabad: Police registered a case in the Telangana Express suicide case after an unidentified man died by suicide at Secunderabad railway station early on May 3, 2026, officials said.
The incident occurred around 6:40 am when Train No. 12723 Telangana Express, travelling from Hyderabad to New Delhi, was approaching Platform No. 1. At that moment, the man suddenly stepped onto the tracks and lay down in front of the moving train. As a result, the train ran over him, and he died on the spot after his body was severed into two parts.
Officials said they found no documents or identification on the deceased. However, they noted that he was about 5.6 feet tall. He had a tattoo reading “PALLAVI” on his right hand. He was wearing a green full-sleeve shirt with white checks and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
Telangana Express suicide case investigation details emerge
Based on information provided by the Secunderabad railway station Deputy Superintendent, the police registered a case and started an investigation. Authorities are working to establish the identity of the deceased and the circumstances leading to the incident.
