Unidentified man dies after train accident near Moulali railway track

Hyderabad: An unidentified man aged between 55 and 60 years died after being hit by a train near the railway tracks between Lalaguda and Moulali on the Up Main Line under the limits of Secunderabad Railway Police on June 24.

According to railway police, a death message was received from the Deputy Station Superintendent of Secunderabad Railway Station before 1.45 pm. Following the information, Station House Officer, Secunderabad, registered a case under Crime No. 326/26 and deputed an investigating officer to conduct an inquiry.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the man might have been crossing the railway tracks or met with the accident due to other reasons. Police suspect that he came under an unidentified train and died on the spot. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Police said no identity documents or other evidence were found on the deceased. The man was believed to be a Hindu and was wearing a white full-sleeve shirt with black stripes and black cotton trousers. He also had a mole on the left side of his chest, which could help in identifying him.

The body was shifted for further legal formalities while efforts are continuing to establish his identity. Railway police appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could help identify the deceased.
