Hyderabad: The Telangana ACB registered its highest number of corruption cases in a single quarter since 1983 during the April-June period of 2026, Director General Charu Sinha said on Tuesday.
Charu Sinha reviewed the cases registered during the second quarter of 2026. She also assessed the progress of investigations at a meeting in Hyderabad.
During the review, she said the agency had achieved a historic milestone. It recorded the highest quarterly case count since 1983.
She said the achievement reflected the Telangana ACB’s sustained vigilance against corruption. It also highlighted the professional commitment of its officers. Accordingly, she expressed satisfaction with the agency’s performance.
The Director General commended officers and staff working across the State. In addition, she praised their professionalism, teamwork and commitment to transparent governance.
Telangana ACB honours officials for performance
The Telangana ACB organised a special “Reward Mela” to recognise outstanding officers and staff. During the event, Charu Sinha presented commendation certificates and rewards to top performers.
Addressing the gathering, she said corruption weakens the nation from within. Therefore, public servants must discharge their responsibilities with honesty and determination. She urged them to retain public trust and strengthen the rule of law.
She said the Telangana ACB would continue to prioritise professional, impartial and comprehensive investigations. Furthermore, the agency would improve investigation standards through regular training and greater institutional vigilance.
Finally, Charu Sinha directed officers to intensify anti-corruption efforts. She asked them to uphold integrity, accountability and good governance across the State.
