Sonu Singh shooting: Ibrahim, friends fired over old business rivalry, says Rachakonda CP

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu said that old business rivalry led to the firing on Gorakshak Prashanth Singh alias Sonu Singh in Pocharam. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, he confirmed that Ibrahim and his friends planned the attack to settle scores.

According to the CP, Ibrahim held a grudge against Sonu Singh, blaming him for losses in business. Investigators also found multiple phone calls between both groups in recent days.

Ibrahim planned the meeting and shooting

Sudheer Babu said Ibrahim invited Sonu Singh to meet near a venture at Yamnampet to discuss the dispute. The two sides spoke for almost an hour before the firing began.

Police arrested Ibrahim, Mohsin, and Srinivas soon after the incident. However, Hanif Qureshi is still absconding. “We solved the case within hours and caught the main accused,” the CP said.

CP urges people not to believe rumours

The commissioner stated that the shooting was not a random act but a planned one. “They met willingly and spoke for an hour before violence erupted,” he said.

He added that the police are investigating with solid evidence. “We are verifying every claim with proof. People should not believe rumours or false information,” he warned.

Sudheer Babu said the police will release full case details once the investigation concludes.
