Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Thursday participated in the Bonalu celebrations at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat and offered special prayers for the well-being of the people of Telangana.
The Bonalu festival took place under the auspices of the Secretariat Employees’ Association. Moreover, Jaju joined the special pujas performed at the Sri Nalla Pochamma Temple within the Secretariat premises.
He prayed for peace, prosperity, good health and the overall welfare of the people of Telangana. Meanwhile, Secretariat employees offered the traditional Bonam to the Goddess with devotion.
Bonalu celebrations draw large participation
The Bonalu celebrations featured traditional Pothuraju performances, drum processions and artists dressed in colourful attire. Further, a large number of Secretariat employees and government officials participated in the festivities and offered prayers.
Extending Bonalu greetings to the people of the State, Jaju expressed hope that Goddess Mahankali’s blessings would bring peace, prosperity, happiness and continued development across Telangana.
