Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sought an education commitment from tribal families while participating in an Indiramma houses programme at Kothari Gram Panchayat in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
Interacting with women from Kothaguda village, the Chief Minister said the government was providing free electricity, free bus travel for women, housing and drinking water facilities. In return, he asked parents to ensure that their children received an education.
Revanth Reddy told the gathering that education alone could bring lasting change to their lives. He urged parents to make every effort to keep their children in school and secure a better future for them.
The interaction took place during the formal launch of a statewide mass housewarming programme for one lakh beneficiaries under the Indiramma housing scheme.
The Chief Minister also unveiled a pylon marking the second phase of the housing programme. The government sanctioned another 2.5 lakh houses across the state under the new phase.
