Hyderabad: Police have put in place extensive security and traffic arrangements for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on Tuesday.
Authorities will deploy around 1,140 police personnel for the event. The deployment includes 507 law and order personnel and 358 traffic police personnel. It also includes 125 City Security Wing staff, 90 Armed Reserve personnel and four platoons of the Telangana Special Police.
Officials have positioned specialised security teams at key locations. These include OCTOPUS commandos, Special Operations Teams and bomb disposal squads. Sniffer dog squads, IT and Communication teams, and Command Control units will also remain on duty.

Police have earmarked five parking locations around the venue. The designated areas include Gymkhana Ground and Bison Polo Ground. The list also includes the MES Chief Engineer Office premises and Centenary High School near Sweekar Upkar.
Meanwhile, traffic restrictions and diversions will remain in force on roads leading to Parade Grounds from 7 am to 12 noon. The measures aim to facilitate smooth movement around the venue during the celebrations.
Commuters travelling through Begumpet, Secunderabad, Trimulgherry, Bowenpally, Tank Bund and nearby areas have been advised to use alternative routes. In addition, police have urged motorists to follow traffic advisories and instructions issued by personnel on duty.
