CM Revanth Reddy to launch Telangana Public School at Arutla

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the Telangana Public School at Arutla on Wednesday, marking the launch of a flagship education initiative aimed at transforming government schooling in the state.

The project forms part of the government’s broader education reform agenda and seeks to provide high-quality public education on par with leading private institutions. Officials described the school as a model that could reshape the future of government education in Telangana.

Telangana Public School to offer integrated learning

The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive at Arutla at 9:30 a.m. and unveil the school’s foundation marker. He will inspect digital classrooms, science laboratories, the library, dining facilities and sports infrastructure.

In addition, Revanth Reddy will interact with students, teachers and members of the school management committee. He will also join students for breakfast before addressing a public gathering. The Telangana Public School offers education from nursery to Intermediate level within a single campus. Officials said the institution combines academics, sports, cultural activities and personality development programmes.

Telangana Public School designed on international standards

The state government developed the initiative after consultations with the Telangana Education Commission. The commission, headed by Dr. Aakunuri Murali, monitored the development of the Arutla campus. According to officials, the Telangana Public School provides English-medium instruction and incorporates modern teaching methods.

Furthermore, students will receive free transportation, breakfast, lunch and evening snacks. The school features digital classrooms, laboratories, a library, a gymnasium and dedicated dining halls. Authorities also established facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi, tennis and indoor games. Special coaches are available to train students in various sports disciplines.

Telangana Public School model to expand across the state

The government selected four institutions for the pilot phase of the programme. The first phase includes schools at Arutla and Manchal in Rangareddy district, along with Vangoor and Polkampally in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district.

Officials plan to expand the Telangana Public School model across the state in phases. The government has set a target of establishing 100 such schools in the coming years.

At present, the Arutla campus has 1,814 students enrolled across pre-primary, primary, high school and Intermediate sections. The institution has also attracted strong interest from parents seeking admissions for their children.

Officials said demand has risen to such an extent that the school has already stopped accepting additional admissions. The government expects the Telangana Public School initiative to emerge as a benchmark for public education and a significant milestone in Telangana’s educational development.
