Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document at the closing ceremony of the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. The plan lays out a roadmap to reach a $3 trillion economy and ensure inclusive social progress by 2047.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the blueprint was developed with input from four crore citizens. “This land has a legacy of struggle from Komaram Bheem’s fight for Jal, Jungle, Zameen, to armed peasant revolts for land, livelihood, and liberation,” Reddy said.

He stated that the vision seeks to fulfil Telangana’s long-standing demand for freedom, social justice, and equal opportunity. The state targets a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047.

Education, irrigation, and communication at the core

The plan reorients the Nehruvian focus on education and irrigation by adding communication as a third pillar. “We are advancing with a commitment to eradicate poverty, deliver quality education, and create employment for youth,” said Reddy.

He noted that these initiatives are not financial burdens, but long-term investments. “For some, poverty is a subject of academic discussion. But I have experienced it. I studied in rural government schools. I understand the lives of marginalised communities,” he added.

Integrated schools to end caste segregation

To reduce caste-based divisions, the state will build Young India Integrated Schools. These schools will allow students from SC, ST, BC, OC, and minority backgrounds to study together. Reddy said this effort aims to root out caste prejudice during early education.

He stressed that quality education and skill-building are key to addressing unemployment. “Without access to skills, joblessness continues to grow,” he said.

New universities to address skills and sports

As part of the vision, the government has established a Skills University to equip young people with market-ready capabilities. It has also launched a Sports University to train athletes with Olympic ambitions.

Reddy concluded that the Telangana Rising 2047 vision is designed to uplift all sections of society, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. He called it a mission aligned with the people’s aspirations.
