Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao demanded a Dharani SIT probe on Tuesday, alleging irregularities in both the Dharani and Bhu Bharati land record systems. He urged the state government to order a Special Investigation Team (SIT) inquiry into both platforms.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress and BRS were diverting public attention from the alleged land-related irregularities by raising the Kannepalli and Kaleshwaram issues. He described the political exchanges over Kaleshwaram as an attempt to shift focus from the allegations.

Meanwhile, Ramchander Rao said the BJP’s stand on the Kaleshwaram project was based on the findings of the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA). He urged the government to stop political confrontation and begin the repairs recommended by experts. He also said farmers should not suffer because of political disputes.
Further, the BJP leader claimed that the Centre had allotted the Taticherla-2 coal block to Singareni without an auction. He said the project would generate around ₹64,000 crore in revenue and create nearly 1,200 jobs.
Ramchander Rao credited the Union government and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for securing the allocation. Additionally, he rejected the Congress’ claim that it was responsible for the project. He questioned why the coal block was not allotted during the UPA government if that claim was correct.
Finally, Ramchander Rao thanked the Central government and Kishan Reddy for allocating the Taticherla-2 coal block to Singareni.
