Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has invited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to an open debate on the Centre’s role in Telangana’s development. He accused the Congress and BRS of repeatedly making false claims during elections, alleging that the BJP-led Centre ignored the state.

Highlighting the Centre’s contributions, Reddy said the government launched several key development projects across Telangana over the past decade. “They make political allegations that Telangana is being neglected. But the facts are different,” he said.

As evidence, he referred to a public presentation he delivered on June 7, 2023, at RTC Kala Bhavan in Bagh Lingampalli. During the event, he outlined a detailed report on the Centre’s work in the state.

Appeal to Press Club for open forum

To advance the debate, Reddy wrote to the President of the Hyderabad Press Club. In the letter, he urged the Press Club to host the discussion and coordinate participation from all sides.

The letter, made public by his office, reiterated that both Congress and BRS were misleading voters. These parties, he alleged, were attempting to undermine Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government through false narratives.

Call for respectful and fact-based discussion

Reddy said he is fully prepared to present verifiable data on the Centre’s development initiatives. He emphasized that people in Telangana deserve transparency and truth on this issue.

He requested the Press Club to fix a date and time for the debate. Moreover, he appealed for a dignified discussion free of personal attacks or inflammatory language.

“The discussion must be constructive, parliamentary, and respectful,” Reddy stated, urging both Revanth Reddy and KCR to uphold Press Club protocols during the debate.
