Jagadish Reddy slams Revanth Reddy over comments in Jubilee Hills campaign

Hyderabad: Former minister G. Jagadish Reddy sharply criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy over remarks made during the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign. He questioned the CM’s statement referring to former MLA P. Janardhan Reddy (PJR) as a Congress leader, alleging that it was the Congress that sidelined him.

Jagadish questions Congress’s sincerity on PJR

Addressing reporters at Telangana Bhavan, Jagadish Reddy said he was shocked by Revanth Reddy’s comments. “Was it not the Congress that politically killed PJR?” he asked, accusing the party of exploiting his legacy during the campaign.

He went on to question the Congress party’s actions, pointing out that despite claiming admiration for PJR, Revanth Reddy did not offer a seat to anyone from PJR’s family.

Unemployed youth campaign against Congress

Jagadish Reddy also noted that unemployed youth in the Jubilee Hills constituency were actively campaigning against the Congress. According to him, they were urging citizens to file nominations and defeat the ruling party.

Meet the Press remarks called ‘false’

He further alleged that Revanth Reddy made false claims during his ‘Meet the Press’ programme held at the Somajiguda Press Club. “The CM is now working from the command control centre that was built under KCR’s leadership,” he added, pointing to the BRS government’s contributions.
