Hyderabad: Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the government had shifted to direct grievance solutions, ensuring citizens no longer needed to visit multiple offices for their issues.
He made the statement while attending a Praja Darbar at Kusumanchi in Khammam district on Sunday. Along with district collector Divakar T.S. and additional collector Dr P. Sreeja, he received petitions from residents and directed officials to resolve them immediately.
The minister said the government had taken governance to people’s doorsteps. As a result, officials collected applications in person and acted on them without delay. He added that each petition was being examined carefully to ensure prompt action.
Reddy also said that in the Paleru constituency, authorities had organised mandals into clusters to conduct Praja Darbars. He stated that officials would address all genuine requests without political bias. Moreover, he noted that the government was focusing on resolving long-pending land issues, including Sada Bainama cases and disputes linked to prohibited land lists.
Direct grievance solutions extended through Praja Darbars
He said the 99-day Prajapalana plan had improved welfare delivery. According to him, ensuring benefits reached every eligible person without delay remained a key responsibility.
The minister noted that many applications received at Praja Darbars related to Indiramma housing. He criticised the previous government for delays that led to the current demand. He also announced that funds for house construction were being credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts every Monday. The second phase of housing approvals would be completed by the end of May, he added.
Further, Reddy said the government was procuring paddy and maize at the Minimum Support Price. He added that payments were being deposited into farmers’ accounts within a week, ensuring timely financial support.
