Hyderabad: Revenue, Housing and Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy launched Praja Darbar Paleru to address public grievances in a time-bound manner on Saturday.
The programme was organised under the Praja Palana–Pragathi Pranalika initiative in Paleru Assembly constituency. The Minister said such platforms aimed to resolve issues at the grassroots level.
During the event, he interacted with residents from several gram panchayats. These included Rayigudem, Ajay Thanda, Cheruvumadaram, Mangapuram Thanda, Appalanarasimhapuram, Buddaram, Kattukacharam, Kongara, Rajarampeta, and Bhairavunipalli.
Praja Darbar Paleru focuses on grievance redressal
The Minister said the government had identified Paleru as a model constituency for the initiative. He added that authorities would later expand the programme across Telangana.
He noted that officials were addressing issues such as drinking water, electricity, and land concerns under Dharani. Moreover, he said the initiative aimed to build public trust through efficient service delivery.
“Some issues can be resolved immediately, while others may take time. However, the priority is to address every genuine grievance,” he said.
The Minister stressed that political affiliations would not affect grievance redressal. He said public service remained the primary responsibility beyond elections.
Praja Darbar Paleru to continue as ongoing programme
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said people earlier lacked proper platforms to voice concerns. However, officials now reached out directly to citizens through such programmes.
He stated that the initiative would continue as an ongoing process rather than a one-day event. Therefore, departments would ensure consistent follow-up on complaints.
The Minister also announced that special review meetings would begin from April 27. These meetings would involve district collectors and public representatives.
He said the focus would remain on Revenue and Housing departments. Additionally, he assured that schemes like Indiramma Housing and land-related issues would be resolved transparently and quickly.
