Nitin Nabin calls for renewed struggle for Telangana development

Hyderabad: BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday urged party workers to prepare for a renewed Telangana development struggle, saying politics should be guided by service, sacrifice and dedication instead of the pursuit of power and wealth.

He made the remarks while inaugurating nine BJP district offices across Telangana in Ranga Reddy Rural, Adilabad, Asifabad, Nirmal, Kamareddy, Siddipet, Medak, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool. The inauguration took place amid enthusiastic participation from party workers.

Nabin said the newly opened offices would function as “Sankalpa Kendras” that reflect the BJP’s ideology and as “Seva Kendras” dedicated to serving the people. He added that the offices would inspire workers who follow the party’s guiding principle of “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last.”

He paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the martyrs who laid down their lives for the Telangana statehood movement and late BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, who strongly supported Telangana’s demand in Parliament.

According to Nabin, the aspirations of Telangana’s martyrs remain unfulfilled even after the state’s formation. He said the BJP had accepted the responsibility of achieving those goals.

Telangana development struggle remains BJP’s priority

Responding to criticism that the BJP is an “outsider” party, Nabin recalled that one of the party’s two Lok Sabha MPs elected in 1984 had come from Telangana. He also praised senior BJP workers who endured hardships, police action and years of struggle to strengthen the party in the state.

Launching a sharp attack on the Congress and regional parties, Nabin accused them of pursuing opportunistic politics. He alleged that the Congress had benefited politically from protests led by BJP workers against the previous government while failing to deliver effective governance after coming to power.

He urged BJP workers to reach every village and street to mobilise public support against the Congress government through democratic public movements. He also expressed confidence that the BJP would expand its political base in Telangana just as it had done in West Bengal after sustained struggles.

Highlighting the Narendra Modi government’s governance, Nabin said India was progressing with unity under the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” He added that the government was working to realise the ideals of Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s concept of Antyodaya and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision of good governance.

BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao, National General Secretary and State In-charge Sunil Bansal, State In-charge Abhay Patil, BJP Co-in-charge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, State Organisational General Secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Legislative Party Leader Aaleti Maheshwar Reddy, MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Ranga Reddy Rural District President Raj Bhupal Goud attended the event.
