Hyderabad: A woman suicide case came to light after a 28-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide following a family dispute within the limits of the Meerpet police station. Police shifted the body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination and began an investigation.
The deceased was identified as Hema. Her family alleged that her husband, Rajkumar, had subjected her to mental harassment after entering into an extramarital relationship with another woman.
According to the family, the alleged harassment continued for some time and led Hema to take the extreme step. Police have not publicly confirmed the family’s allegations.

Meerpet police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident. Officers completed the preliminary formalities before shifting the body for autopsy.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation and the post-mortem report.
