Hyderabad: Police questioned former minister KT Rama Rao’s PA Mahender Reddy and PRO Mahesh at the Saifabad police station in connection with the Assembly clash case.
The KTR aides questioned by police faced the inquiry in the presence of their lawyers. The lawyers demanded that officers follow the Telangana High Court’s directions during the questioning.
Police sought details about the confrontation near the Assembly. Officers also recorded statements about alleged provocative remarks and abuses.
However, the lawyers objected to questions they considered unrelated to the case. They also insisted that police issue a Section 35(3) notice.
The questioning continued for about two hours at the Saifabad police station. During the inquiry, officers sought details about the circumstances surrounding the protest.

Meanwhile, police continued the probe into the protest near Assembly Gate No. 3 under the SIT’s supervision. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had also taken a serious view of the protest.
As part of the investigation, police sought information about whether the accused knew about the protest in advance. Officers also questioned whether anyone had deliberately planned the incident.
Police continued questioning Mahender Reddy and Mahesh about the events outside the Assembly. The SIT investigation into the incident remained underway.
