Hyderabad: A Sadashivanagar gambling raid led to the arrest of four people allegedly playing cards for money. Police seized Rs.2,080 cash, four mobile phones and four two-wheelers from the spot.
The raid took place within the limits of Sadashivanagar Police Station. Acting on reliable information, police conducted the operation under the direction of Sadashivanagar SI Pushparaj.
A police team raided Santosh Reddy’s poultry farm after receiving information about gambling activity. During the operation, officers found four people allegedly playing cards by staking money.
Police took all four people into custody during the raid. They also seized Rs.2,080 in cash from the location, along with four mobile phones.
In addition, officers seized four two-wheelers during the operation. Police subsequently registered a case and began an investigation into the incident.
The action followed information received by the Sadashivanagar police about gambling at the location. Officers conducted the raid after verifying the information and found the alleged activity there.
SI Pushparaj later warned that gambling was an offence under the law. He advised members of the public to stay away from gambling activities.
According to the SI, people should avoid spending their valuable time on gambling. Instead, he urged them to focus their time and attention on building their children’s future.

Pushparaj said time was extremely valuable and should not be wasted on gambling. He urged parents to use that time to lay a strong foundation for their children’s future.
Meanwhile, the SI made it clear that police would not allow gambling activities in the area. He warned that people involved in gambling would face strict action.
Police continued their investigation after registering the case against those detained during the operation. The seized cash, mobile phones and two-wheelers formed part of the material collected during the raid.
The operation was conducted within the jurisdiction of Sadashivanagar Police Station. Police said the action was based on reliable information about people allegedly gambling with money.
The four arrests followed the police team’s inspection of the poultry farm. Officers detained the alleged gamblers and seized the items found in connection with the activity.
