Keshav Rao challenges BJP to answer Revanth’s tough questions on ‘Operation Sindoor’
Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and Special Advisor to the Telangana government, Dr K Keshav Rao, on Friday called on BJP leaders to answer the tough questions posed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding ‘Operation Sindoor.’
Speaking to the media at his residence in Banjara Hills, Keshav Rao demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi respond to the questions raised by both Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi. “The Centre must come clean on the actual cost of wars fought so far, the number of fighter jets lost, and the real damage to the country,” he insisted.
Recalling that India and Pakistan have fought six major wars, Keshav Rao criticised the government for turning the post-Pahalgam incident into mere political theatre, suggesting that little had actually been achieved. “If military decisions are to be taken by the army, then why is there political interference?” he asked. “How can unrelated voices suddenly call for a ceasefire?”
He argued that the public deserves answers. “If the government’s claims of victory are true, why haven’t international media outlets reported it? Only our newspapers seem to be covering these so-called victories. Not a single country has confirmed Pakistan’s defeat,” he pointed out.
Demanding accountability, he also questioned how many people had been arrested for the Pahalgam attack and how many were still alive. He said that if Pakistan talks about negotiations, India should also respond democratically.
Commenting on BRS MLC Kavitha’s recent statements, Keshav Rao said the Congress did not take her remarks seriously and that governance should belong to the people, not to a single individual or family. “I don’t expect any political future with Kavitha,” he said firmly.
He clarified that he had always been a Congress loyalist and would remain so until his last breath. He acknowledged that he had once left the party due to delays in the formation of Telangana but said he was now fully committed to the Congress.
