Hyderabad: Former minister and senior BRS leader Jagadish Reddy on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of using abusive language because he could not respond to questions raised by BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Speaking to the media in Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy said the Chief Minister’s remarks reflected frustration and fear. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was unable to counter KCR’s questions and was therefore resorting to personal attacks.
Ridiculing the Chief Minister’s comments, the former minister said Revanth Reddy’s language was “worse than a sewage drain” and did not match the political stature of KCR. He warned that the BRS would not remain silent and said the government would be exposed before the people.
Jagadish Reddy warns Congress of political defeat
Jagadish Reddy alleged that while Revanth Reddy might depend on the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the people of Telangana would not. He claimed that voters would politically defeat the Congress in the coming elections.
The BRS leader also targeted Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, calling him an ignorant minister with no basic understanding of irrigation issues. He alleged that districts such as Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy were facing injustice in water allocations.
Jagadish Reddy said it was the duty of the opposition to question the government on public issues. He asserted that the Chief Minister’s language and governance would be judged by the people and punished in the public domain. (NSS)
