Hyderabad traffic diversions announced for Tiranga Rally on August 14

Hyderabad: Hyderabad traffic diversions will come into effect on August 14 for the Tiranga Rally from the Ambedkar Statue at Tank Bund to the M-47 Patton Tank near Children’s Park. The Hyderabad Traffic Police will implement the diversions on a need basis between 3 pm and 5.30 pm.

Traffic restrictions will affect vehicles travelling towards Upper Tank Bund from two points. Commuters using these routes have been advised to take alternate roads during the rally.

Traffic police will stop general traffic coming from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank Bund at Sailing Club. Vehicles will then move towards Kavadiguda.

Similarly, traffic coming from DBR Mills towards Upper Tank Bund will face restrictions at DBR Mills. Police will divert such vehicles towards Goshala and Kavadiguda.

Hyderabad traffic diversions may cause congestion at two junctions

The Traffic Police identified Sailing Club and DBR Mills as congestion points during the diversion period. Commuters have therefore been advised to avoid these junctions between 3 pm and 5.30 pm on August 14.

The authorities asked motorists to plan their journeys in advance. They also advised commuters to use alternate routes to reach their destinations during the rally.

Traffic restrictions and road closures will remain in place only as required for the programme. Once the rally concludes, traffic police will remove the diversions and reopen the affected roads.

The Traffic Police also asked commuters to follow updates through its social media platforms. Citizens can check the Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook page and the @HYDP Twitter handle for traffic information.

For emergency travel assistance, commuters can contact the Hyderabad Traffic Police helpline on 9010203626. The appeal covered motorists travelling through the affected Tank Bund routes during the rally.

The Tiranga Rally will proceed from the Ambedkar Statue on Tank Bund to the M-47 Patton Tank near Children’s Park. Traffic police will manage diversions according to traffic conditions during the programme.
