Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police conducted a Community Contact Programme in Mangaru Basti and Addagutta under the Lallaguda Police Station limits on Monday. The drive led police to seize 24 vehicles and 15 liquor bottles. Officers also verified rowdy sheeters and suspects.
Secunderabad Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshitha Krishnamurthy supervised the operation. Additional DCP Narsiah, ACPs Shashank Reddy, Yadagiri and Sridhar, along with Lallaguda Inspector T. Ashok Kumar, led the programme.
Community Contact Programme focuses on public safety
Around 150 police personnel, along with the Clues Team and Traffic Police staff, participated in the operation.
During the drive, police seized 24 vehicles that lacked valid documents or appeared under suspicious circumstances. They also confiscated 15 liquor bottles that people allegedly kept in violation of the rules.
Police verified five rowdy sheeters and 10 suspects. Officers also counselled them during the programme.
Meanwhile, DCP Rakshitha Krishnamurthy interacted with residents of Mangaru Basti and Addagutta. During the interaction, she enquired about their grievances and local security concerns. The DCP urged residents to report suspicious activities immediately and encouraged them to install CCTV cameras to strengthen community safety.
