Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar on Wednesday chaired a coordination meeting with cow protection associations at the TGICCC in Banjara Hills to review law and order arrangements ahead of the Bakrid festival.
Police officials and representatives from several organisations attended the meeting and discussed precautionary measures to maintain peace during the festival period.
Officials said the meeting focused on coordination among police departments and organisations to avoid disturbances during Bakrid celebrations.
Senior police officers from different wings attended the review meeting at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre.

Additional Commissioners of Police Tafseer Iqbal and M. Srinivasulu participated in the meeting along with Joint Commissioner of Police N. Shwetha.
Deputy Commissioners of Police from various zones also attended the discussions.
Representatives from several organisations joined the Bakrid coordination meeting. These included Yuga Tulsi Foundation representative Kolisetty Sivakumar, Love for Cow Foundation trustee Riddesh Jagidar, and Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh representative Jasraj Srisremal.
Govats Foundation president Murali Manohar Palod, Gorakshak Dal representative Deepak Singh, Akhil Bharatiya Goseva Foundation representative A. Balakrishna, Bajrang Dal representative Srikanth, and VHP representative B. Narasimha Murthy also attended.
Police officials discussed precautionary arrangements and coordination mechanisms during the meeting.
The Hyderabad Police planned security and law enforcement measures to ensure peaceful conduct of Bakrid celebrations across the city.
