Hyderabad: A Hiroshima delegation visit to the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council took place on Friday, with representatives from Hiroshima State in Japan touring the legislature complex and interacting with senior leaders.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash welcomed the delegation and presented floral bouquets to the visitors.
Following the tour of the Assembly and Council buildings, the delegation met the Chairman in his office and held discussions on various aspects of governance and development.
Hiroshima delegation visit highlights Telangana development
During the interaction, Gutha Sukhender Reddy described Telangana as one of India’s fastest-growing states and highlighted its rapid progress across sectors.
He said Hyderabad had emerged as a global destination where people from different countries live and conduct successful business ventures. Moreover, he noted that the State continues to attract investment and international engagement.
The Chairman also explained the functioning of the Telangana Legislature. According to him, members of both the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council actively participate in lawmaking and remain connected with the public to address their concerns.
Furthermore, he said elected representatives play an important role in ensuring effective governance and public welfare.
Hiroshima delegation visit includes legislative interaction
Gutha Sukhender Reddy said Telangana was witnessing all-round development under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
He added that the government’s policies and development initiatives were contributing to progress in multiple sectors. Therefore, he described the Hiroshima delegation visit as a significant and positive occasion for Telangana.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Japanese representatives to gain insights into the State’s legislative institutions and governance framework.
Legislative Council Whips Addaki Dayakar and Venkata Narsing Rao attended the programme. MLCs Dasoju Shravan and Anji Reddy also participated in the interaction.
MLAs T. Rammohan Reddy and Palvai Harish were present during the visit. Legislative Council Secretary Dr. Narsimhacharya and Legislative Assembly Secretary R. Tirupati, along with other officials, also attended the event.
