Further, GHMC conducted extensive awareness programmes among households and commercial establishments in several slums across its limits. Officials urged residents to hand over household waste only to Swachh Auto Tippers (SAT). They also appealed to citizens to avoid dumping garbage in open areas.
Meanwhile, officials encouraged residents to prevent the formation of Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs). They said cleaner surroundings would reduce the spread of seasonal diseases and improve public health.
In addition, GHMC recognised the contribution of sanitation workers during the campaign. Officials presented an appreciation certificate to the SAT auto driver who achieved the highest household coverage. They praised the driver’s efforts in ensuring efficient waste collection and supporting a cleaner and healthier community.
