Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha reviewed Ayush services in Telangana at Nature Cure Hospital and directed officials to strengthen facilities and monitoring.
Senior officials, including Health Principal Secretary Christina Z Chongthu and Ayush Director Srikanth Babu, attended the meeting. The minister examined the status of government and private Ayush hospitals, clinics, and colleges.
He instructed officials to prepare proposals to upgrade infrastructure in government colleges and hospitals. At the same time, he stressed the need to promote traditional Indian medicine systems and improve public access.
Ayush services Telangana to expand facilities and tighten regulation
The minister directed officials to increase outpatient and inpatient numbers by improving service delivery. He also asked them to recruit doctors and staff wherever required.
Further, he ordered authorities to equip integrated Ayush hospitals in Siddipet, Vikarabad, and Bhupalpally with full facilities. He said these centres should become operational at the earliest.
He stressed that there should be no gaps in the medicine supply. In addition, he directed officials to ensure the availability of all required drugs for patients.
The minister instructed strict monitoring of the attendance of government Ayurveda and Homoeopathy doctors and staff. He warned that authorities would take action against those who remain absent from duty.
He also directed officials to act against illegal clinics operating without proper permissions. Such establishments, he said, mislead people through false advertisements.
Finally, he instructed the Ayush department to conduct statewide inspections of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy clinics. He said officials must initiate action against unlicensed hospitals immediately.
