Hyderabad: Rangareddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy had directed officials to ensure constituency meetings success during events scheduled across the state on May 2.
He issued the instructions during a teleconference held on Friday with revenue divisional officers, mandal development officers, municipal commissioners and other officials. The Collector reviewed arrangements and outlined guidelines for smooth conduct.
The meetings form part of the state government’s 99-day Praja Palana Progress Programme. Therefore, he stressed that all constituency-level meetings must be conducted effectively as per government directions.
He instructed officials to organise meetings in each constituency at suitable venues. These include schools, mandal offices, open grounds or other appropriate locations. The meetings must begin at 10 am.
Constituency meetings success through coordinated planning
The Collector directed officials to involve public representatives in the meetings. He said ministers, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Council and Members of Legislative Assembly must receive prior information.
He instructed that meetings should begin with the state song. Officials must then read out the Chief Minister’s message during the programme.
In addition, departments must present details of welfare schemes implemented by the government. Officials should also hold discussions on ongoing development and welfare programmes.
The Collector said participation should include revenue officials, mandal officers, ward members and departmental staff. He also asked officials to ensure attendance of self-help groups, youth, farmers, women’s groups and voluntary organisations.
Constituency meetings success with public arrangements
Narayana Reddy directed officials to make special seating arrangements for women and elderly participants. He stressed that proper facilities must be ensured at all venues.
He also asked departments to arrange screens and projectors for presentations. Since it is summer, officials must ensure drinking water and shaded areas.
Further, banners related to the Praja Palana Progress Programme should be displayed prominently at all meeting locations.
The Collector stressed that all departments must work in coordination. He said this would ensure constituency meetings success across the district.
Additional Collector (Revenue) Chandra Reddy, Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Kiranmayi, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Krishna Reddy and Chief Planning Officer Soumya attended the teleconference. Other district officials also participated.
