CM Praja Vani aids Soumya with ₹9 lakh for lung surgery

Hyderabad: Under the “CM Praja Vani” initiative, a girl from Jangaon district received ₹9 lakh in medical assistance for urgent lung treatment, following a plea made to the Telangana government two months ago.

Soumya, a resident of Venkiraala village, underwent life-saving lung surgery at a hospital in Bengaluru after her parents, Srinivas and Anuradha, sought help through the Chief Minister’s outreach program.

Acting on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s directions, CM Praja Vani Incharge Dr. G. Chinna Reddy and Nodal Officer Divya coordinated the emergency medical support. The assistance included ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and ₹5 lakh sanctioned through the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP).

The family visited Praja Bhavan on Friday to thank the Chief Minister and officials. During their visit, Dr. Chinna Reddy and Divya handed over the financial aid cheque and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting critical medical cases.
