Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Food Safety teams conducted a Cinepolis food safety inspection at Lulu Mall and recorded a high level of compliance with food safety standards.
Inspectors found food handlers wearing hairnets and aprons. They also confirmed that staff maintained expiry dates and use-by dates properly.
Further, the establishment maintained medical fitness, pest control and water testing records. It also deployed FOSTAC-certified Food Safety Supervisors.

Meanwhile, inspectors noted proper segregation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. Staff also followed hot-water sanitation procedures for utensils.
Additionally, officials found no signs of pest infestation during the inspection.
However, the team observed a few minor deficiencies. Inspectors found some dustbins without lids and noticed that staff had not sealed opened frozen food products properly before storage.
Officials immediately discarded boiled pasta that staff had stored in a freezer. The used cooking oil recorded a Total Polar Compounds (TPC) level of 21.5.
Further, the team identified housekeeping issues at the cola dispensing counter.
CMC directed the management to improve food storage practices and maintain better cleanliness in the dispensing area.
Officials also instructed the establishment not to store cooked food in freezers for next-day use.
The outlet secured 111 out of 116 marks and achieved a hygiene compliance score of 94 percent.
