Hyderabad: Authorities conducted a large-scale Census 2027 Walkathon at Necklace Road in Hyderabad to promote awareness about Census–2027 and encourage public participation in census-related activities.
The programme featured actress Amala Akkineni as the chief guest. Officials, volunteers, students, staff members and members of the public joined the event.
Smt. Bharati Hollikeri, Director of Census, Telangana, led the programme along with GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan and Zonal Commissioner B. Santosh. Officials highlighted the role of accurate census data in planning and development activities.
Census 2027 Walkathon promotes census awareness
Participants carried placards and raised slogans seeking public cooperation for the successful conduct of Census–2027. The awareness drive drew active participation from different sections of society at Necklace Road.
The event generated public outreach activity across the area and reflected efforts by authorities to strengthen citizen participation in the Census–2027 process.
