Bandlaguda Police crack two-wheeler theft case, 5 juveniles held

Hyderabad: Bandlaguda Police detected a two-wheeler theft case and apprehended five juveniles involved in multiple vehicle thefts across the city.

Police registered the case following a complaint on April 13 regarding the theft of a Bajaj Pulsar RS-200 from Mohammed Nagar. Subsequently, during vehicle checks on April 23 at Bandlaguda X Road, officers intercepted two suspects riding the stolen bike.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to the offence. Accordingly, police traced and apprehended four more associates from Shaheen Nagar.

Two-wheeler theft case reveals group involvement in multiple offences

Investigators found that the juveniles formed a group and carried out thefts to fund substance abuse. Meanwhile, police linked them to multiple cases across Hyderabad and nearby areas.

Officials recovered three stolen vehicles, including a Bajaj Pulsar RS-200, a Yamaha R-15, and a Suzuki Access scooter. In addition, the total value of recovered vehicles is estimated at ₹5 lakh.

Police produced the juveniles before the Juvenile Justice Board. Further, authorities continued the investigation to identify additional links.

Officials advised citizens to adopt preventive measures such as secure parking and additional locks. Therefore, they stressed the need for vigilance to prevent vehicle thefts.

Senior officers from Rajendra Nagar Zone supervised the operation and commended the Bandlaguda Police team for their prompt action.
