Bandlaguda police solve burglary case, recover stolen valuables within 24 hours

Hyderabad: Bandlaguda Police solved a burglary case within 24 hours and arrested a woman accused of stealing gold and silver ornaments worth nearly Rs.15 lakh from her neighbour’s house.

The theft came to light after complainant N. Giri Babu returned from Yadagirigutta and found his residence ransacked. Unknown persons had broken open the main door and almirah locks before escaping with valuables.

During the investigation, police focused on a neighbour, Kapari Narsamma. Investigators examined her role after gathering information about earlier disputes with the victim’s family and her alleged involvement in theft-related activities.

Acting on intelligence inputs and evidence collected during the probe, officers apprehended the suspect.

According to police, the accused confessed during questioning and admitted that she committed the theft after learning that the family had left for a pilgrimage.

Burglary case leads to recovery of valuables

Police recovered 8.2 tulas of gold ornaments, 1.08 kilograms of silver articles and tools allegedly used in the crime.

Officials estimated the value of the recovered property at around Rs.15 lakh.

The accused was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, investigators are examining whether she was involved in other similar offences in the area.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of Rajendra Nagar Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police S. Srinivas and Assistant Commissioner of Police A. Sudhakar.
