Adivasi tourism exposure programme launched in Telangana

Hyderabad: Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao will launch the Adivasi Tourism Exposure programme on Tuesday, marking a State initiative to connect tribal communities with Telangana’s cultural and urban landscape.

The Minister will flag off the inaugural convoy from Gondu Guda in Utnoor mandal at 6:00 AM, formally beginning the outreach effort.

Adivasi Tourism Exposure programme rollout in phases

The Telangana Tourism department designed the Adivasi Tourism Exposure programme as a study tour for 650 tribal participants from the Utnoor region in Adilabad district. It aims to bridge geographical and cultural gaps by introducing participants to Hyderabad’s heritage and infrastructure.

To streamline execution, the department divided the programme into three phases. First, the initial batch will begin on April 22. Next, the second batch will start on April 23. Finally, the third batch is scheduled for April 25.

Each group will include 200 to 250 participants. They will travel in five air-conditioned buses, ensuring smooth logistics and close coordination throughout the tour.

The two-day itinerary under the Adivasi Tourism Exposure programme will include visits to major landmarks. Participants will tour Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Golconda Fort, Charminar, Lumbini Park and Shilparamam.

Officials arranged accommodation and hospitality at Taramati Baradari. Moreover, the venue will offer participants direct exposure to Telangana’s hospitality and heritage environment.

The initiative will strengthen awareness among Adivasi communities about the State’s historical legacy and modern development. In addition, it will build a stronger connection between tribal regions and the capital.
