Hyderabad: The Telangana government offered a ceremonial chadar to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah on behalf of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy as part of arrangements for the 814th Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
The government presented the chadar at a programme held at the Dr B R Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat. Officials said the chadar would be sent to Ajmer Sharif as part of the Urs observances. They said the dargah symbolised spirituality, social harmony, love and brotherhood.
The chadar offering reflected the state government’s respect for the centuries-old Sufi tradition. Leaders said the gesture underlined Telangana’s commitment to communal harmony and inclusive values.

Several ministers and public representatives attended the programme. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Mohammed Azharuddin participated in the event.
Government advisers Vem Narender Reddy and Mohd Ali Shabbir were also present. MP Porika Balram, along with several MLAs, attended the programme.
TMREIS Vice-Chairman Faheem Qureshi, Telangana Haj Committee Chairman Syed Afzal Qadri Pasha Biyabani, Wakf Board Chairman Syed Azmathullah Husseni, and Minority Finance Corporation Chairman Obaidullah Kotwal also attended, along with other minority leaders.
