Hyderabad: Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Thursday inaugurated an energy technology unit at the TGIIC Industrial Park in Siddipet district.
He opened the facility at the Azad–Centre of Excellence and Innovation Centre in Tuniki Bollaram village of Mulugu mandal. The company developed the energy technology unit across 7,600 square metres.
Baker Hughes, a United States-based global firm, operates in more than 120 countries. It works across oilfield services, industrial and energy technology, and digital solutions.
The new energy technology will produce high-precision components for its Industrial and Energy Technology division. Officials said the unit will strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities in Telangana.
Additionally, the project will create jobs for over 230 highly skilled professionals. This move will also boost the local manufacturing ecosystem.
Energy technology unit drives industrial growth
The Minister said such investments strengthen Telangana’s global manufacturing position. He added that the energy technology will expand the “Made in Telangana” footprint.
Furthermore, officials said the project supports the State’s push to attract high-value industries. They added that it will encourage innovation and technology-led growth in the sector.
